Saigon - Hai Phong Industrial Park Corporation (SHP) joined the Delegation of Hai Phong City to go to Taiwan (China)

At the end of October 2022, Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority organized a business trip to Taiwan (China). The delegation was led by Mr. Le Trung Kien - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority; together with representatives of leaders of related departments and leaders of a number of industrial park infrastructure business units in the city, including Saigon - Hai Phong Industrial Park Corporation (SHP) - the investor of Trang Due Industrial Park. 

Within the framework of the business trip, 4 seminars and working sessions with Taiwanese enterprises were held, including: A seminar with enterprises of Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA); Workshop with satellite businesses of Pegatron group; Meeting with the Southeast Asian Influence Coalition, Meeting with Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei.

Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) is an organization that brings together businesses and investors operating in the field of manufacturing electronic products, networks, selling components… With more than three thousand members, the production value of the electromechanical and electronic industries of the Association's enterprises usually accounts for 50% of the industrial production value in Taiwan (China).

At the seminar with Taiwanese businesses, the representative of Saigon-Hai Phong Industrial Park Corporation (SHP) presented an overview of the scale as well as incentives, industry orientation to attract investment, potential logistics, modern technical infrastructure system, special advantages... of Trang Due Industrial Park and Trang Due 3 Industrial Park.

On October 29, at a conference with satellite businesses of Pegatron Group, The Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority introduced an overview of potentials, advantages, investment opportunities, policies to attracting investment in Hai Phong; listen to the exchange of ideas of investors, enterprises in Taiwan (China); answer and clarify the concerns of enterprises in the process of researching, investing in industrial zones and economic zones. Pegatron Vietnam is currently building a factory with a total investment of about 481 million USD in Hai Phong. And in the period 2026 - 2027, the company will continue to implement the project with a total investment capital of up to 500 million USD.

The two working sessions with the Southeast Asia Impact Alliance and the meeting with the Viet Nam Economic and Cultural office in Tai pei, Taiwan also took place very well, leaving the delegates with deep impressions about a developed, dynamic, creative, safe and hospitable Hai Phong city.

Immediately after the meeting, Taiwanese (China) businesses and investors committed to continue to promote research, learn and discuss more specifically with the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority and infrastructure business in industrial zones to develop plans, plans to invest in industrial parks and economic zones in Hai Phong city.
