Minimum wage increase from 1/1/2014

Specifically, the minimum wage for businesses operating in the IV areas is 1,900,000 VND / month, an increase of 250,000 VND/month compared to the previous (minimum wage under the old rules 1,650,000 VND / month ); the minimum wage for businesses operating in the I areas  rose from 2,350,000 VND/month to 2.7 million dong/month, an increase of 350,000 VND/month compared with current regulations; the minimum wage for businesses operating in the area of the II and III also increased 300,000/month to 2,400,000 VND/month and 2.1 million dong month (previously, they were 2,100,000 VND/month 1,800,000 VND/month ) .

Accordingly, based on monthly salary paid to the employee not trained to do simple work in normal working conditions , ensuring full normal working time in months and complete labor norms or work agreement shall not be less than the minimum wage above . As for the apprentice laborers (including employee training by enterprises), the lowest wage to at least 7 % higher than the minimum wage .

This Decree replaces Decree No. 103/2012/ND-CP dated 12.04.2012 and shall be effective from 31/12/2013 .
